In the UK – possibly in the world – the first ever ‘pop-up’ doggy diner opens for a two month period in London’s Pimlico in the run up to Christmas.
When the opportunity for the retail site in one of London’s premier shopping areas beside the weekly Pimlico Road Farmer’s Market ‘popped-up’ Henrietta Morrison, Founder of Lily’s Kitchen, the range of organic proper pet food, saw a wonderful opportunity to do something very different. Lily’s Kitchen Diner will create a truly unique retail and leisure venue for the dog about town.
Attractions in the store will include:
Also, Lily’s Kitchen Diner will carry the petition the company is championing todemand greater rights to roam in shops for dogs and their owners. The Lily’s Kitchen FREEDOM TO ROAM campaign will be available to sign in store and it is hoped by the end of the two months period there will be enough signatories for it to be presented to the Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street.
In addition, Lily’s Kitchen Diner will be raising money throughout the period of the pop-up shop for the charity Dogs Trust
Henrietta Morrison says: “We are so lucky to have a passionate and loyal user base for the Lily’s Kitchen recipes – people really do want the best for their dogs and cats and realise the importance of proper pet food. We are delighted to be offered the opportunity of creating a fun and different experience for dogs and their owners, one which would give us eye to eye contact with our customers and be highly memorable and we think Lily’s Kitchen Diner pop-up is just that. We are expecting to have the most terrific fun in the run up to Christmas getting know our customers even better, especially as many of them are offering to help run the shop”.
Lily’s KitchenDiner located at 30 Pimlico Road, London SW1, it will be open daily from 9thNovember – 23rdDecember 2010.
