London, 14th July 2010 - The assets of Craftmatic UK Limited, the Oxfordshire-based adjustable bed and mobility scooter company, have been sold to Adjustamatic Beds Limited, part of the NHC group. Craftmatic entered into Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidation on Monday 17th May, 2010 and David Rubin of David Rubin & Partners LLP was appointed as Liquidator of the Company.
Adjustamatic has employed approximately 30 staff from Craftmatic, the majority of whom have been retained at the Company’s Reading call centre. A further 25 members of the Craftmatic sales force have also been offered positions, with more likely to be employed in the future. The Oxford site has been closed.
We are continuing to generate further realisations of Craftmatic’s assets in order to pay a dividend to the company’s creditors,” said David Rubin. “We are also working closely with the Direct Sellers Association to arrange refunds for those customers who put down deposits prior to the liquidation.”
